Eat out of the (Balcony) Garden

When Cody and I got married, we moved into an apartment, so we have a balcony for outdoor space. Since I love food, I wanted to be able to use my potted garden for more than just extra oxygen and pretty flowers. Yes, I wanted to eat it. Thus, it is a mix of an herb and vegetable garden.

The different plants I have: rosemary, bell peppers, jalapenos, mint, basil, more basil, and sage. I pick herbs from the garden all the time for cooking. Here's and idea of what I use for certain dishes:

rosemary- meat seasoning/marinades
mint- simple syrups, tzatziki sauce, desserts
basil! - just breathe it in, pizza, strawberry basil smash cocktail, bruschetta
sage- "The Best Tea in Memphis," meat seasoning/marinades
jalapenos- salsa, guacamole, crock pot pulled pork

Anyway, check it out!
Three Pots of Basil

God bless you and your potted plants!
